By accessing our Site, purchasing event tickets, or participating in our community, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Site or services.

1. Eligibility and Intended Use

The Latina Exchange provides intentional, community-driven spaces, resources, and curated events primarily tailored for Latina professionals, founders, and decision-makers in the Chicago area. While we welcome supporters aligned with our mission of equity and inclusion, the Site and our services are intended for individuals who are at least 18 years of age.

2. Event Ticketing, Modifications, and Cancellations

By purchasing a ticket to any event hosted by The Latina Exchange, you agree to the following event-specific terms:

  • Ticket Finality: Due to the curated nature, catering commitments, and venue dependencies of our dinners and gatherings, all ticket sales are final and non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise for a specific event.

  • Transferability: If you are unable to attend, you may request to transfer your ticket to another professional up to forty-eight (48) hours prior to the event start time by contacting us directly. Approval is at our sole discretion.

  • Event Modifications: We reserve the right to alter event venues, speaker lineups, or schedules due to unforeseen circumstances. In the rare event of a total cancellation by us, ticket holders will be notified and issued an appropriate remedy or refund.

3. Community Code of Conduct

The Latina Exchange is strictly dedicated to long-term impact, mutual visibility, and authentic relationship-building. We explicitly reject transactional, aggressive, or extractive networking. By accessing our platform or attending our events, you agree not to:

  • Engage in predatory sales tactics, unauthorized spamming, or unsolicited mass solicitations of our members.

  • Display behavior that is disruptive, discriminatory, disrespectful, or harmful to the physical or psychological safety of our community members, speakers, or partners.

  • Falsify your professional credentials or identity.

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to restrict Site access, terminate future membership status, or bar attendance from our events for any individual who violates this Code of Conduct, without a refund.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

The Site and its entire contents, features, and functionality—including but not limited to all text, graphics, logos, taglines, button icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, data compilations, and event frameworks—are the exclusive intellectual property of The Latina Exchange or its content suppliers and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or commercially exploit any material from our Site or events without prior written consent from an authorized representative of The Latina Exchange.

5. Media and Photography Release

By attending any in-person event, progressive networking dinner, or social gathering hosted by The Latina Exchange, you acknowledge that photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By entering the event space, you grant The Latina Exchange the irrevocable right and permission to use your likeness, voice, or image in promotional materials, website displays, and social media channels without compensation or prior approval.

6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

  • "As Is" Basis: The Site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

  • Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The Latina Exchange, its founders, directors, employees, or partners shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Site, inability to use the Site, or participation in our physical or virtual events.

7. Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to your use of the Site or services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding related to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in a federal or state court located in Chicago, Illinois.
